Girls in Aviation Day will be held, Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the Delta Flight Museum from 12:00-4:00 and hosted by the Atlanta Gone with the Wind Chapter of Women in Aviation.

Attendees are free to come and go according to their schedule during the event hours. The event will expose girls and boys to aviation through challenging and exciting activities, while being surrounded by the attractions of the flight museum. We plan to spark an interest in aviation to all those who attend by introducing them to role models and educating them in a fun and supportive atmosphere! Attendees will have the opportunity to earn the Girl Scout Aviation Fun Patch by completing designated activities.

Several activities will be set up throughout the museum for attendees to complete. In the past we have had the Aviation Alphabet, 4 Forces of Flight, Radio Readback Exercise, Deciphering a METAR, ATC Exercise, Characteristics of Drag, Maintenance Bracelets, Aircraft Pre-flight, Sectional Chart Scavenger Hunt, Kids Drone Zone, etc.

All ages are welcome. Chaperones must also register. Please register through Eventbrite.
