The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation and has established a licence is mandatory for commercial UAV pilots. Before you decide to take the plunge into the intriguing world of drones and the business opportunities ascribed with them, the very first steps are to enroll in our Part 107 Remote Pilot test preparation course. In addition to obtaining the knowledge required to pass the test with confidence, you will gain the aeronautical decision-making skills necessary to be a competent remote pilot, capable of operating safely in the national airspace system.

This flight training will cover knowledge areas as well as provide hands-on use of a drone simulator and an actual drone. The emphasis of the course will be on safe sUAS operations and will be led by our experienced Flight Instructors. Knowledge areas to be covered include principles of flight, quadcopter flight control systems, automation, Global Positioning System (GPS), equipment set up and various checklist, radio communications, and risk management.

About The Classes
In this bundle, you will rotate between the following classes: Part 107 Test Prep, Flight Skills, and Equipment Training. The combination of these 3 courses puts you in the driver seat of your drone career. You will also have hands-on flight training. You will also receive two take home drones and insurance. Our in-person and online class will begin September 2019 and run through November 2019, 2pm to 5pm, Saturday’s Sunday’s twice monthly and online weekly. Classes begin, September 8, 2019
Participants will receive hand-on training using aeronautical maps, setting up drone equipment, various checklist, and build confidence with our hands-on flight skills training.

Flight Training for Commercial Operators
This program has been designed for you. Passing the Part 107 exam does not fully prepare you for flight operations. Our flight training gets you up to speed and build your skills with hands-on experience.
Advance Flight Functions
Student pilot will learn how to access the advanced flight functions such as point of interest, waypoints and more
Piloting an Unmanned Aircraft
Student pilot will develop their skills and operate the remote aircraft in an outdoor environment under the direct supervision of a flight instructor. The student will master a series of flight maneuvers and learn how to recover from malfunctions.
Part 107 Test
The FAA launched new rules for commercial drone pilots under the FAA regulations called Part 107. The new rules allow people interested in flying their drones for a profit or commercial use to gain a license from the FAA to fly their drone for commercial purposes after passing a 60 question, 2 hour exam offered at an FAA testing center. After taking our Part 107 Test Prep course, you can book at one of the FAA’s testing centers to take your exam for $150.Once you pass the exam, you get your certificate within a few weeks and are able to fly commercially.
Part 107 Test Preparation
This course is designed to help you to adopt a “pilot mindset” and to prepare you to become a U.S. certified commercial drone operator.
Equipment and Use
You will learn about the following: UAV types, Aircraft Components, Battery Technology, Power Systems , Cameras and Gimbals, Controller Settings
Participants will receive two drones to take home. We find being able to take home your drones enhancers your flight training. After this class, you will be able to: Appreciate understanding the features of your drone and how to utlize them when flying.

How do I become a U.S. commercially certified drone pilot?
- Pass the Aeronautical Knowledge Test at one of an FAA approved testing center. Our In-Person courses prepare you for this test.
- Apply for and obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate with a small UAS rating (like existing pilot airman certificates, this never expires).
- Pass a recurrent aeronautical knowledge test every 24 months.
- Be at least 16 years old.
Who is eligible to take the FAA written aeronautical knowledge drone test?
Anyone over the age of 16 who is interested in becoming a commercial sUAS / drone pilot. You must also be proficient in English and in a physical and mental condition to safely operate a drone.
Getting your drone pilot certificate is one of the easiest ways to get into the aviation industry.
