  • Please read carefully: Informed Consent, Release Agreement, and Authorization I give consent for my child(ren) to attend and participate in Kids Drone Zone program. I also understand that participation in these activities is entirely voluntary and requires participants to follow instructions and abide by all applicable rules and the standards of conduct. Parents attending classes and camps with your student: Separation from parents gives a child the ability to think independently, which builds self-esteem. At classes and camp, children gain valuable life skills. They learn to navigate on their own and solve problems by themselves. They engage in many creative outlets, too. This time away from parents offers one of the most powerful learning environments and can be a place where a child’s social education takes place. It provides children with the opportunity to try new activities. When children succeed at these activities, they build self-esteem. That being said, Parents cannot attend classes and camps with their student. We do expect the students to be on their best behavior during their time with us, but also realize that some students may have conditions and circumstances that may make this task unusually difficult on any given day. Children are expected to comply with all program rules and regulations in addition to the Behavior Management Policy. We pay attention to the needs of every student. Our goal is to make sure the entire class is benefiting and enjoying the time spent with us. Any discipline issues we may come across are handle on an individual basis so that we can take into consideration all side and aspects of the situation. We don't cookie cut our discipline policy because we know, no two kids are alike and we don't won't to treat them that way. When issues arise we will work with the students and the families to come to the best solution. This may include, one-on-one with student, time away to cool down, parent assistance on reinforcement of class guidelines, separation of conflicting students, extra assistance brought in to help when needed, and more. We always keep communication open with parents and school staff. If the situation involves physically touching or threatening, verbal abuse or threats, and other physical or verbal behavior that may be viewed as bullying, we will get the parents involved in any/all measures deemed necessary. Extreme circumstances may warrant dismissing a child from a class because of conduct. Our goal is to make sure that every child in a classroom is learning, growing and having fun, while at the same time being considerate and mindful of those around them. To help us with this, we ask the parents to let us know of any learning or other limitations/concerns prior to the first session. That way we will be aware of the needs of your child and the others in the class. We reserve the right to disenroll your scholar from the Program at any time. Scholars who consistently do not follow safety rules and instuctions will be removed from the program. If your child should create a disturbance and become unmanageable, or require to have a parent or guardian pick up your child they will be removed from the program. Future attendance in the program will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by staff. A child may be immediately dismissed from the program if the child’s behavior is determined to be detrimental to the child or to the well-being of others in the program. Immediate dismissal of an entire family may occur in the event of inappropriate behavior of parents. Adults are expected to model the desired behavior that is expected of the children. Profanity, threats, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. A child who is dismissed due to behavior issues will no longer be eligible to attend at any time. There will be NO refunds if your child/ren is/are released from any program or if the family is removed from the program. The equipment and software that the students use remains with Kids Drone Zone. Withdrawal from the Program: The program coordinator should be notified ten days in advance of the date a child is to be withdrawn. Failure to do so may result in additional tuition being charged and non-re-admittance. Absences-Parents should contact the program if a child will not attend an upcoming session. Please contact the program coordinator via email. There are no refunds for missed classes, repeated missed classes and non-payment may result in your student’s slot being given to another student. Program Late Pick - Up Policy We have a strict late pick-up policy. When parents are late to pick up their children it causes hardships for Kids Drone Zone because we are unable to leave at the end of their scheduled shift. We have classes, families and regular commitments for which they are responsible. It can also be distressing for children to be pick up late. Late pick-up is not a normal program option and should be considered an exceptional occurrence. Chronic late pick-ups will be up for review to be removed from the program at our discretion. Please be considerate of our staff in following the program times. If a parent or authorized adult will be late, it is their responsibility to notify us via phone call and text message as soon as possible. We understand that emergencies arise. We also understand that traffic can be challenging or hectic, but expect all children to be picked up on time. Traffic issues and other reasons do not excuse the late fee that will be charged. When your child is picked up late, our staff is required to remain working, therefore, unable to attend to their commitments. Late fees will be applied accordingly: A late fee of $75 will be assessed immediately if the parent/authorized contact arrives within five minutes of class ending, there will be no late fee. Late fees are due immediately. Late fees commence starting at 6 minutes past class time. The following is the price list for late pick up: 1-5 minutes - free, 6-10 minutes - $75, $5 for each minute thereafter. Failure to pay late fees may result in your student/s being dis-enrolled. We are happy to provide this program, but would appreciate you honoring our policy. Thank you for your commitment to be on time to pick- up your child at the mandated time. Class cancellations: If the facility where the activity is held is closed due to inclement weather or some other reason, Kids Drone Zone will not hold class that day. This is for the safety of your children and us. (See policies above). In the case of inclement weather only , one make up session will be scheduled. Multiple make up sessions will NOT be scheduled. Refund Policy: There are no Refunds Period. There are no refunds for missed classes. Kids Drone Zone reserves the right to cancel the program if a suitable number of participants fail to enroll or maintain enrollment. Payment Policy: Payment for the program is due in full upon registration and monthly session fees are due by the first of the month. I also hereby assign and grant to Kids drone Zone, as well as their authorized representatives, the right and permission to use and publish the photographs/film/videotapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings made of me or my child(ren) at all Kids Drone Zone activities, and I hereby release the Kids Drone Zone, the activity coordinators, and all employees, volunteers, related parties, or other organizations associated with the activity from any and all liability from such use and publication. I further authorize the reproduction, sale, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage, and/or distribution of said photographs/film/videotapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings without limitation at the discretion of the Kids Drone Zone, and I specifically waive any right to any compensation I may have for any of the foregoing.
