Learn more about Drone squad here!

Free to attend..There is cost for food and some activities! September Saturdays is the largest annual festival and community event in Douglas County. Its sole purpose is to foster community by creating an event where any resident, regardless of situation, can come and enjoy fun, fellowship, camaraderie, and inclusion. A community only gets stronger when it communicates!

September Saturdays is unique in that it is held on two consecutive Saturdays in September, so that people have two chances to attend. There is no cost to attend – charging for any festival feature might preclude someone from coming, and this festival is for everyone. Festival expenses are paid by Douglas County and the generosity of community-minded businesses, so that the festival, parking and all features can have free admission.

September Saturdays is held inside and on the grounds of the Douglas County Courthouse, 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Parking is available on the Courthouse grounds and on surrounding properties. A free van shuttle service is provided from adjacent parking areas.

September Saturdays 2017 will be our 15th year – and it will be bigger and better than ever! Mark your calendars for Saturdays, September 30, 2017!

2018 INTL Women in Aviation Conference-GIAD

2018 INTL Women in Aviation Conference-GIAD

Girls in Aviation Day Orlando (GIAD)

Kids Drone Zone  heading to Reno Nevada for our 29th annual International Women in Aviation Conference! Join us at  Reno-Sparks Convention Centre for all the energy, excitement, and networking the WAI conference is best known for—plus a little Disney magic!

Girls from ages 8 to 17 will be introduced to the career possibilities and amazing lifestyle aviation and aerospace present. Through a host of hands-on activities, speakers, games and more, girls get immersed in all that aviation has to offer. What’s more, it’s all fun!

Older girls will be able to meet with representatives from aviation colleges and universities. There will be no shortage of role models for the girls as they hear from actual working women about their unique aviation careers. Flying a simulator, reading a sectional chart, learning the phonetic alphabet: It’s all part of Girls in Aviation Day Orlando.

In addition to daughters, granddaughters, nieces and friends of conference attendees, local Girl Scouts are included to make this a day packed with new friends, new information and loads of fun – all designed to attract more girls to aviation. The cost for the day is $10 a girl (which includes lunch). Girls must be accompanied by an adult.
