Be prepared to see more UPS Brown in the sky’s in the near future.  UPS has dramatically placed its’ hat in the drone delivery business.  Currently, UPS uses drones to deliver medical samples at several hospitals in North Carolina under their Flight Forward Division.

Recently, UPS filed for certification from the Federal Aviation Administration for the subsidiary, called UPS Flight Forward, to fly drones beyond line of sight, at night, and with an unlimited number of drones and operators in command.  To top it off, in 2020 UPS will expand to 7-day a week delivery including the use of drones and adding 12,000 CVS drop off locations as well. Why is this race to air delivery happening you might ask….the astronomical increase in online shopping.  Yes….Kids Drone Zone acquires it’s gear 100% online.   Ecommerce represented 14.3% of total retail sales in 2018, according to Internet Retailer’s analysis. Amazon accounts for 40% of U.S. online retail. Consumers spent $517.36 billion online with U.S. merchants in 2018, up 15.0% from $449.88 billion spent the year prior.
