The travel and hospitality industry has experienced exponential growth since 2000. The world literally went mobile. #COVID-19 literally brought the world to a screeching halt! Home is not only where the heart is but also work. A permanent new dawn is upon the world population and the reality is….We are not in Kansas anymore!  The new norm will bring about two in six workers not returning to the office as #remote work is the new norm and  business #travel will not travel via computer (with business travel expected to decrease by 20%) and the break room will be your #kitchen!

Ford Airport is testing a comprehensive suite of tools that utilize UV technology, which works on a molecular level to destroy the microbiology of the virus. To combat the spread of COVID-19, it has become evident UV technology n other industries to kill the virus thus Ford Airport took the leap!    The UVD Robot, which will be used in areas such as baggage claim and the security checkpoint, is the world’s first fully autonomous mobile platform.  The products emit a light spectrum of 254 nanometres, which kills COVID-19 and other viruses such as the common cold.  The airport also features UVC Footwear Sanitizing Station  and uses a combination of ozone and UV-C light, will allow guests to sanitize their shoes in just eight seconds.

AIRMAP Office Destroyed By Looters 

Kids Drone Zone hearts are sadden to hear the news about one of our drone community members AirMap in Sacramento, California, that was burned by looters this past Sunday. AirMap has offices in Zürich and Singapore and is a software company. Drone pilots use AIR MAP’s traffic management technology to determine authorization in controlled airspace. Kids Drone Zone utilizes AirMap in our education program to teach young scholars not only how to use this technology but to understand the importance of flying in various types of national airspace. One of Air-Map’s co-founder Greg McNeal discover this tragedy.

Another AirMap co-founder and chairman Ben Marcus added this on Twitter: “Last night, the AirMap office in Santa Monica was consumed by fire. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. What hurts is the unending racism & injustice in America. We all must work harder to make our union more perfect. We’re all brothers and sisters. Let’s treat each other with love, respect, & dignity, and create opportunity for all who choose to make a positive impact.”
